Nova scotia canada games volleyball team

VNS believes that these individuals will help us compete strongly at the Canada Games in Niagra, Ontario and are excited to introduce them to you. Any questions or for further information, please contact Technical Director, Megan Conroy. As a multi-sport athlete on the Nova Scotia Provincial Teams for Football, Volleyball, and Soccer, volleyball was his true passion and while attending Dalhousie University he also was a setter for the Tigers.

We asked Angus what he wants his athletes to take away from being a part of his program, and the overall Canada Games experience, as well as what being a member of the Canada Games Team NS means to him.

Most athletes who play at the Canada Games have aspirations to play volleyball at the next level in Canada. My goal as a coach is to help show them what it takes to be a high level athlete and to set them up with tools that our program will help them succeed at the post secondary or National level. The personal pride of earning something you work hard at will motivate these athletes to take their game to the next level. The Pride of representing Nova Scotia at the top tournament in Canada has lived with me since I was able to represent Nova Scotia in The Pride of Nova Scotia will live on with these athletes for years to come.

I am extremely honoured to be chosen to coach this team in the Canada Games. I think that lesson will help motivate me to push these athletes to be the best possible players they can be.

I am excited to have a bigger role representing Nova Scotia. I will help shape these young men into Top Level athletes for the province and country. Cleveland has been playing volleyball for about five years, and has been playing on provincial teams for the last three years, in addition to high school and Southwest Fusion Club play. She said she is really enjoying her time on the Canada Games provincial core team with lots of great opportunities such as advanced training. Bell has been playing volleyball since junior high, and is now in her second season of club volleyball.

Bell said being part of the Canada Games team selection process is a good opportunity to improve her skills. We compete with and against each other. Wilkie has been on the volleyball court since Grade 6, playing throughout high school at the school level as well as with the Bridgewater Chill Volleyball Club. Wilkie now suits up for the Dalhousie Tigers UA team.

Wilkie has also been playing at the provincial level for the past five years and has been team captain for Team Nova Scotia for four years.

Being on the core team is a good experience, said Wilkie. As for the boys, Alec Cottreau, 15, has been playing volleyball for about two and a-half years, making provincial teams in and at the U15 and U17 levels.

I enjoy the coaches and playing with a great group of athletes. Volleyball Canada Help Center.
