How to program sky remote to hitachi tv

If the model of your TV isn't listed, enter the make of your TV into the relevant field and leave the model field blank, then select Get my code. Your code is: Please ensure that you have entered the correct make and model of your TV and that you have followed the configuration instructions correctly. If you're still experiencing problems, please read More information about configuring your Sky remote control. We have an exact match for your TV model, but this code is not stored on your version of the Sky Remote control.

Which model tv have you succeeded with? Following your instructions, I get 13 options. None work! I definitely had 20 options. I pressed settings: set up: remote control: I then click the middle option of sky Q remote: control your tv: that's when I typed in Hitachi then "I know it". Then start typing it in and click "my model is not listed". I then got This is setting 1 of 20 - to test it try changing the volume. Did this work" I kept them clicking "no, try another" until I reached one that worked.

Tried to follow your instructions, when trying each current I only get 13 options to try and none worked. It's strange I bought mines in earlier in year. Thought it would be same settings anyway? Choose the Sky remote design you have and following the instructions on the screen. You can find your exact TV model using the Sky remote lookup service that provides unique codes for your TV make and model. Step 2: Press the red button and select button together for 2 seconds and release.

The red button on your Sky remote should blink twice. Did you press the TV button then the power button as in step 2 of the instructions as you have to do that until the TV turns off, this could take quite some time as it cycles all the codes stored in the remote. Yes I did but after about 5 seconds the LED on the remote stopped blinking which I assumed meant it wasno longer attempting to find any code! It does not look for a code pressing TV then power tries 1 code then pressing TV then power again tries the next code etc… until eventually the TV turns off or all the codes are tried thus can take quite some time to complete.

I am afraid the TV never turned off. It is really annoying that you buy a mainstream TV like a Hitachi and there is no code that will work with the Sky remote. Unless anybody knows the actual code for this paticular model I guess I am stuck with 2 different remote controls!

I'm afraid if you've been through all the codes and none works, there's simply no code on the chip inside your Sky remote suitable for your tv. If it's a real annoyance, you may want to invest in a multi purpose remote like a Harmony which can control multiple devices. Hi -I had this problem and it has been a real challange.

I even got a Sound Bar as this was my workaround but it was a pain. I ordered Sky mulitroom or what ever its called now and they send out Mini's.

The Minis now come with new remote controls and these remotes use Bluetooth to sync up and automatically put the code in for you and number 6 is the one that works. I put a video on here if it helps anyone. I dont know if anyone can translate the 6th number though as this did the trick.
